Every Autumn, this tree is one of the last to lose its leaves in the Botanical Gardens here in Wellington. And, just before it does, the leaves turn the brightest yellow. The shape of the branches reminds me of a dancer….


  1. The contrast of the evergreens heighten the colour as well.

    I would love to go to a place like Arrowtown in the autumn to see the autumn colours. Love them.

  2. The colours are stunning in this shot! It’s only when I see pics like this that I miss our ‘country’ life… in town means no space for specimens like these.
